A Full-Length Play by

Conform! Obey! Enjoy!
Welcome to the future, where the only thing banned is love.
In the not-so-distant future, conformity is compulsory, pleasure is encouraged, and genuine love is forbidden.
Eighteen-year-old Simon and seventeen-year-old Julie have never quite fit into the world around them. While their parents embrace a society built on obedience and instant gratification, the two teenagers discover something dangerous: the ability to care deeply for another human being.
When Simon shares a forbidden book entrusted to him by his grandmother, a secret inheritance of poetry, memory, and truth threatens to unravel everything they've been taught to believe.
As long-forgotten feelings begin to awaken, two young people discover that the greatest act of rebellion may be the simplest one of all. To love.
FORBIDDEN is a provocative, darkly humorous, and ultimately moving full-length play about freedom, conformity, family, and the extraordinary power of love.
