LIQUOR BOY
A One-Act Play by
George Cameron Grant

The morning after burying his mother, Tony Infante returns to the Bronx neighborhood she made him swear he'd never visit again. Outside a shuttered liquor store, he encounters Joey Fortunato, the once-promising neighborhood golden boy whose life took a devastating turn fifty years earlier. Joey was also the delivery boy who kept Tony's mother supplied with whiskey.
What begins as an uneasy reunion becomes a confrontation with a long-buried secret. As memories of childhood, resentment, and a violent summer afternoon in 1959 emerge, two men discover that the truth about their past may be more devastating than either imagined. LIQUOR BOY is a powerful, emotionally charged drama about sacrifice, guilt, and the lifelong consequences of a single act of courage.
