MOTHER'S DAY

A Solo Work for an Actress by
George Cameron Grant.

Theatrical poster for Mother's Day, a solo play by George Cameron Grant, showing a thoughtful waitress seated at a diner counter with coffee and flowers.

The smallest act of kindness can be
the greatest expression of love.

Gracie has seen just about everything in the ten years she's worked at what she not-so-affectionately calls the "cafeteria from hell."

But nothing has stayed with her quite like Stella and Dave Levy, two longtime regulars whose extraordinary love for one another was reflected in the simplest everyday gestures.

Now Dave is gone, and Stella returns each Mother's Day with a family that barely notices her.

For Gracie, a hard-bitten waitress with a sharp tongue and a heart she rarely reveals, one small act of kindness becomes a beautiful reminder that love doesn't end when someone leaves us.

MOTHER'S DAY is a funny, poignant and deeply human solo work about aging, loneliness, compassion and the extraordinary power of an ordinary gesture.
